Councillors Unveil New Youth Shelter

Our Councillors are very pleased to share the installation of our new youth shelter at Speen Recreation Ground!

It was important to us to provide a shelter for those older children using the recreation ground to have a safe and sheltered meeting space to use to meet socially and stay dry during the wetter weather.

The youth shelter also provides a space for residents and dog walkers to meet and a shelter for those watching football matches played at the ground.

We hope the youth shelter will encourage young people to make the most of the vast open space available during all weathers reducing social isolation and providing a space to socialise within the local community!
