The Parish Council is a statutory consultee and West Berkshire Council (the planning authority) will ask us to comment on all Speen Parish planning applications. This includes applications in Speen, Stockcross, Marsh Benham, Woodspeen and Bagnor together with those in neighbouring parishes if the application is close to the Speen Parish Boundary.

 

The Parish Council considers planning applications and can either Support, Object or state No Objection regarding an application. If the Parish Council wishes to object to an application it has to be on valid planning grounds. However ultimately it is West Berkshire Council that makes the final decisions on planning applications not the Parish Council.
